Treasure Coast Forensic Treatment Center
GEO Care opened and began operating the Treasure Coast Forensic Treatment Center (TCFTC) in April 2007 through a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families. TCFTC provides mental health assessments and psychiatric rehabilitation to adults and to juveniles adjudicated as adults.
In November 1998, GEO Care began operating South Florida State Hospital (SFSH) through a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families. The population consists primarily of adults with severe and persistent mental illness that are involuntarily committed to the hospital when community treatment alternatives are no longer effective. The hospital provides a secure setting with longer term treatment programs.
Florida Civil Commitment Center
GEO Care began operating the Florida Civil Commitment Center (FCCC) in July 2006 through a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families. This secure treatment facility for Sexually Violent Predators, treats individuals that have been detained or civilly committed under The Jimmy Ryce Act. FCCC has a proven track record in providing treatment programs for sexual offenders including medical, psychological, psychiatric, dental, vocational, recreational, educational and dietary programs.
South Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center
GEO Care began operating the South Florida Evaluation & Treatment Center (SFETC) in July 2005 through a contract with the Florida Department of Children and Families. The facility treats male and female adult patients in a secure forensic psychiatric hospital where admission into the facility is by court order from the Judicial Circuits.
GEO Care began operating the Columbia Regional Care Center (CRCC) in October 2009 through an acquisition of Just Care, Inc. CRCC is the only private detention health care facility in the United States. Accredited by the National Commission on Correctional Healthcare, CRCC offers sub-acute, skilled, intermediate and hospice care for conditions such as AIDS, cancer, cardiac disease, and kidney dialysis, mental health, and special needs programs for detainees. CRCC serves state and federal agencies in South Carolina and throughout the U.S.
